This is an important book for anyone who dreams of a better world. The Inside Story; How a Group of Ecologists, Journalists and Visionaries Changed Our World Greenpeace was born 25 years ago, formed by three Jim Bohlen, Paul Cote and Irving Stowe who wanted in some small way to make a difference. Employing the Quaker tradition of "bearing witness;" (protesting injustices simply by being there to observe them), they attempted to take a boat to a nuclear test site and thus created what was to become the largest environmental movement in the world. the book if full of stories that not ordinary and governments doesn't talk about and don't wants you to know about
I've been volunteering with Greenpeace for 2 years now and I wanted to find out more about their history so I bought this book.It is an amazing account of the first years of Greenpeace and about the people involved in creating this inspiring organisation. Absolutely crazy and really funny in some parts it is well worth the read!
