Is Craig Caldwell just a man that has worked in the entertainment industry? Or is the author of this book actually just the mentor archetype to the story that is our individual lives? After reading and ruminating on this book, I can assure you that Craig Caldwell is probably not even a real person. Craig Caldwell is probably just the name of one of the fundamental forces in storytelling. Does a masterful job of delving into multiple medias of the entertainment industry including movies, games and even VR. The book has compiled in between it's covers many key topics in a format that makes referencing easy. You want a section that talks about the beginning of story structure? *BAM* Section 2 covers just that.Do you need help understanding what motivates your character? *SHAZAM* Section 11.What if you started reading this review without knowing what a mentor archetype is? *BOOM* Your journey begins in Section 9 on page 118 my friend. The sections are all neatly categorized so you can go back and find exactly what it was you read. This post is YOUR call to adventure my fellow review reader. You may deny it at first, but if you had this book in hand, you would know that this is just the "Refusal of the call." It's inevitable! You'll feel it in your gut as you sit in the movie theater probably having paid a 3rd of what this book costs on tickets and concessions. You'll feel joy or pain while watching this movie, but when your friends and family ask you "Why did the movie fill you with joy/pain?" you won't be able to answer them, for you will be missing the knowledge of this book. You'll race back and purchase to book and finally understand why the movie moved you the way it did! Your only sorrows will be not having bought the book beforehand.TL;DR As the header said, the book is clear and concise, fun, and full to the brim with information that is all referenced should you feel the need to dive further into to the topics of this book.
