I have been using this book with my tutoring students for years. I live in the Boston area so it is perfect for kids living in MA. The character has a Red Sox hat and is standing in his red "dory" screaming help! Most kids think of the Disney character "Dory", but a dory is multi meaning word that also means small boat. I learned this from a colleague I worked with at the Carroll school in Waltham. The book was suggested to me by a tutor there at the time. I highly recommend it because it is written by a man who grew up in Cohasset MA, and it includes science learning with language learning beautifully. The ending is jaw-dropping too!
