I got this toy as a present for a friend's baby (we'll call her Baby A) and the kid loved it! Here are my thoughts:Baby A definitely liked the toy right away and really enjoyed playing with the bee's bobble head - she kept popping it to hear the noise his eyes made. She also really, really loved bouncing him around and the bee stayed put, no matter how hard she yanked. If you put this little guy on a high chair, it's not going ANYWHERE - the suction is awesome. It also does come off really easily if you give it a good (adult-forced!) pull, and can be played with separately, which I really like.A note about the "finger issue": I read through the other reviews and was worried about how the head was attached to the rest of the body - people were mentioning fingers had been caught. While the edge of the attachment is a teensy bit sharp, Baby A played with this for 2 days straight and didn't get her fingers caught or hurt at all - and trust me, she really threw this sucker around! I can see the potential and the edge is definitely sharper than I'd like - thus the 4 stars - but Baby A didn't have a problem at all.Really liked this toy and would definitely recommend to my friends! I'm also getting one for my nephew-on-the-way :)As a toy by itself, this is a very fun toy for my 8 month old. He loves the big googly eyes and the clicking sound that one of the wings makes when you turn it. It's easy for him to grab and not to heavy that he clunks it on his head when he's waving it around in the air. He also likes to suck on the little ribbon antennas. However, I specifically bought this toy for the suction aspect and it does not live up to that. It is very easy for him to take off the holder, just pushing it over to the side far enough that it kind of pops out on its own. The suction cup itself works just fine. I typically wet it a little before sticking it onto his chair table and it stays there for a good long while. When he is in his high chair that doesn't come with a tray, I tether it with a strap so that it doesn't land on the floor when he drops it.I haven't experienced him getting his finger caught under the head yet like some other reviewers have mentioned. Most of the time he's grabbing it by the purple handle or one of the wings so that might be why.Overall, it's a fun toy for my baby, but not a great buy if you're looking for a suction cup toy only.Positives are: This suction toy keeps my sons attention while I am preparing his baby food or my own food. It stays on his highchair and can be washed from any food he throws at it.Negatives are: My son will play with this toy when he gets bored but the suction seems to not be so strong. He's already knocked it off a few times. You can detach the actual toy from suction so baby can play with it. The sides rotate with one side makes a clicking sound and the other side makes noise with the beads. The center circle rotates and the head also rotates. It serves it's purpose and keeps his attention for the quick moments when baby wants to play with it.Update: My son is around nine months now and is able to push it from the base. Previously reviewed at six months. The suction seems to work properly but now kid is getting stronger. It still sits on his highchair and he will randomly play with it so I'd still repurchase it again. Still serves its purpose to grab his attention from time to time. Why does a mom buy a suction cup toy for her sweet baby? It is to keep that toy on the tray, table, etc. and keep baby entertained for days... hours... okay, minutes.Well.... This must-have-been-designed-by-a-man toy has a REMOVABLE toy!!! That's right. You're buying a toy with the intent to keep it in place and keep baby occupied and, yet, the toy is removable. That suction cup sure does stay in place, so they got that part right. The toy itself is cute and fun, but if it can very easily be popped out of its "secure" position by a 4.5 month old baby in less than 10 minutes, then, Houston, we have a problem.Nothing in this description says its removable. Sigh. Desperate Mom seeking 5 minutes without baby in her arms is left picking up a cute toy over and over again for a cute crying baby who is sad that his toy has fallen and, yep, you guessed it, holding that baby again. If you don't want (or need) five minutes without your baby in your arms, then this toy and its flawed suction cup system is for you. If you just want the cute googly eye bumble bee toy, go ahead and click "buy now." But if you are purchasing this toy for its intended purpose, I recommend you walk away now before you're picking the toy up over and over and over again and wiping tears from your beloved child's cheeks.Whatever you end up doing, good luck with that busy baby!I purchased this to give my ten month old something to play with when we went out to dinner or when he was in his high chair or stroller that would remain stationary. The concept behind this is great in that you're supposed to be able to stick the toy to a flat surface and it can be played with but not removed. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The suction cup isn't very strong and even if it did stick better, the entire top of the toy comes out of the base VERY easily. Instead of a toy that was supposed to stay in place, I'm now picking it up off of the floor every five minutes just as I would with any other toy (because a ten month old LOVES to throw toys instead of hold and play with them). The toy is adorable and if the suction cup worked and the toy stayed stationary in the base, it would be great. If you don't need it to stay in one place, I'd order it. If you do need it to stay in one place, I'd reconsider buying this one.We wanted something to keep our Grandson busy while sitting in his highchair waiting for his meal to arrive! As with any toddler the toys we gave him were on the floor in seconds so this fit the bill perfectly as it has a suction base so stuck to the highchair tray quite firmly, OK yes he did manage to pull it off a few times and throw it across the room but it did take some effort and the amount of time it kept him occupied far out weighted the times it was picked from the floor. It also comes apart from the suction cup into a separate rattle so gives even more fun and variation.A defy anyone not to like Bobble Bee's cute little face with his moving eyes as he rattles around. His tummy spins and wings turn, making sounds and colourful movement. The toy itself is great and was an instant hit with the baby. It keeps him occupied for a little while in the high chair - it all adds up.While the suction base sticks fine to my high chair tray (Ikea Antilop), the product is designed for the bee to be detachable from its little orange base and the baby (7 months old) is easily able to whack it out in a few goes if he's in that sort of a mood, no matter how firmly I try to re-attach it. So as some other reviewers have said, the product keeps ending up on the floor - a bit of a design flaw if you ask me.This is ok. It held my son's interest for quite a while, but it's not as sticky as some other highchair toys we've had - he can pull it off the tray quite easily. Plus it comes away from the base - which is a plus in some ways, as it can double as a toy away from the highchair, but it does mean that the suction aspect is a bit useless.Brilliant tabletop entertainer. The middle ball keeps rolling for ages. Only gripe is that it doesn't dry easily after cleaning. Water gets unsure the bee's head and eyes.It seems to have survived the dishwasher without much water getting inside. Don’t dishwasher the suction base.nice toy with things to do but like others have said my baby ( small for her age at 7 months) easily pulls this off and throws it off the Highchair. within seconds it's on the floor and she's looking for the next thing to amuse her.
